Creating Healthy Habits
The hustle and bustle of everyday life will have you picking up some unfavorable habits. For instance, a nice hot cup of coffee is great for a jump start to your day but when drinking it becomes an addictive habit, what once was enjoyable can become a nuisance. No one likes addiction, right. So what are some healthy habits that we can create for ourselves that won't prove detrimental in the future?
Here are a few suggestions:
1) Exercise - Although some may prefer a rigourous exercise regimen where they have a set amount of calories they anticipate burning, majority of us just like to do enough to make us feel good about ourselves. Try getting in at least 20 minutes of daily exercise. I can say that starting my day off with exercise has always helped me make better food choices throughout the day and it gave me an overall feeling of accomplishment.
2) Read - There's nothing like activating those brain cells. Reading for me has always been a world expansion of sorts. Places that I've never visited, times in which I never lived, all were experienced by way of an author taking me on an imaginary journey. If there's a place that you would like to visit one day, explore it in a book. Reading is not only a great pass time but it helps with mental stimulation. Do yourself a huge favor and incorporate this one into your daily habits quick!
3) Pray - There's a book titled Eat, Love, Pray. There is so much fulfillment in having a trusting God who you can tell anything to. Not only do you release the stress that stems from bottling up things, but you also develop a personal relationship with the creator of the universe. How awesome is that! So if you don't follow any suggestions in this list, be sure to add this to your daily regimen if you'd like to experience that peace which passes all understanding.
So these are a few of my personal suggestions. I hope they prove helpful. Please feel free to share some of your healthy habits below. Thanks!
