The Cost of Fashion
Who Decides What You Wear
The fashion industry plays a huge part of what some are wearing and for others who have no particular interest in what's current on the runways or on the cover of magazines, narrow their decisions to weather climate and whatever they fill like wearing that day. I say, embrace your individuality.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with following trends but others who choose to march to their own beat shouldn't be cast down for not keeping up with the latest. Instead, lets appreciate those rule benders and gather inspiration from them. For they just may influence your next runway.
While searching for something to watch on Netflix, I just happened, you can say, to come across a documentary called Sewing Hope. It depicts the life of Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe and her love for escaped girls from Ghana who were forced to fight in the rebellion. These girls and women have horrifying stories of their capture and the torture that they had to endure while being held captive. Some, probably never thinking that they would ever see a friendly face again, found one with Sis Rosemary.
Her life has been dedicated to training and teaching these brave young girls and women a trade that not only benefits them, their families, and their communities but us as well. Through Sewing Hope, we're now able to help restore some aspect of their lives by purchasing one of their tailor made items online at sewinghope.com (click the above photo to be carried to the site).
Please visit www.sewinghope.com to view what the astounding women and girls of Ghana are doing and don't forget to spread the word!

Not only is she a MK Rep, but she's also a consumer with a testimony. Once suffering herself from skin irritation, she took some great advice and started using their Timewise skincare line. Within weeks she noticed a great difference and decided to share her experience with women all over.

Who doesn't love getting dressed up for the cam? But somewhere between school photos and graduation pics, we rarely think about getting glammed up and taking professional pics for the personal album. This wasn't always the case. We all have a relative who upon entering their home, had one of those infamous portraits with the wine glass and rose in hand or the one with the person sitting in a wicker chair, questionably fly only because it's often hard to identify with fashions that are before your time. But this photo will make anyone want to get back to the good ole days where women celebrated their femininity with frame. Now there's nothing wrong with a pic here and there from your phone, but there's nothing like a professional, quality shot. Why not make your beauty timeless.....
No this isn't just blue, but it's ultramarine blue. Once a very expensive pigment before a synthetic ultramarine was invented in 1826, is now available at an affordable price but with that same expensive look. I'm never swayed by name, price or brand, but this color just screams rich! Pretty, pretty, pretty!
