There's a lot that goes into publishing a magazine, I presume. I have a hard enough time creating daily content for this site and that's without worrying about advertisements. There's really no comparison is there? So there's no wonder why magazines cost between $5.99 to $8.99 per issue. If you're like me, you allow your subscriptions to end, forget to renew them, and then pay way more by picking it up while waiting in the long line at the grocery store.
For me, magazines have always afforded me the opportunity to peer inside a world that was unknown to me. From fashion to home & style and food magazines, I've learned so much over the years. But I believe that there is so much still that I could do to totally experience what every editor hopes for from their reader, to not only introduce them to fresh ideas and perspectives, but to have the reader actively engage with the publication.
After reading several magazine articles, I've never once went to the writer's or photographers social media page and complimented them on their work or the magazine itself. This year, I plan to have the whole experience of magazine reading instead of the norm where I read half of it and move on to next month.
Do you read the entire magazine when you buy it?
Thanks for reading!
